I found links to 'Gaslight (1940) or Angel Street' so you can watch the movie online for free, but I thought it would be fun to show you the 'Gaslight or Angel Street' as well!
'Gaslight or Angel Street Cast and Characters' are listed at the bottom!
The original play, "Gas Light", opened in London on 31 January 1939.
It opened in New York with the title changed to "Angel Street" on 5 December 1941, starring Vincent Price (his first role as a villain) and Judith Evelyn. Leo G. Carroll costarred as Rough. It became the longest-running melodrama in Broadway history, playing for 1,293 performances.
When later remade as Gaslight with Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman, the studio (MGM) attempted to have all prints of this earlier version destroyed. Fortunately, it was unsuccessful (in fact it is thought that director Thorold Dickinson surreptitiously struck off a print himself before the negatives were binned).
